At Warri South and Uvwie Local Governments Secretariats on the first working day of the New Year 2022 the gates were open, while Council workers were seen doing their jobs.
Some businesses also in Warri South and Uvwie Council Areas opened, while others were still locked, an indication that they are yet to return from the New Year holiday.
Banks also on the first working day of the year were seen open, with customers going in and out for transactions.
Some of the Council workers at Warri South and Uvwie Secretariats said that it is good resuming duty on the first working day of the year after the long public holiday.
They expressed optimism that the New Year will bring a lot of good things to them and pledged to put in their very best in their jobs.
The Council workers appealed to Government to look into the plights of Civil servants in the state as a way to encouraging them to do their work more effectively.
As we begins to count days into this new year of 2022, the general expectations for business owners and Civil servants is that the year will favor the work of their hands.
