The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has released the results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination held this year.
The WAEC examination was conducted simultaneously in all the member countries in West Africa.
Briefing newsmen Monday, WAEC Head of the Nigerian National Office, Patrick Areghan said all the processes leading to the release of the results have been completed.
He disclosed that a total of one million, five hundred and forty nine thousand, seven hundred and forty candidates registered for the examination.
WAEC said out of the number of candidates that registered, one million, five hundred and thirty eight thousand, four hundred and forty five candidates sat for the examination.
The examination body revealed further that ninety four point sixty nine percent had their results fully processed and released while eighty one thousand representing five point three-one percent have few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors on the part of the candidates.
It said 86.99% obtained credit and above in minimum of five subjects without English and mathematics.
