URHOBO PROGRESSIVE UNION, MINNESOTA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BRANCH DONATES A TWENTY KVA GENERATOR SET TO SAINT ANNE’S ORPHANAGE EFFURUN
A twenty KVA Mikano generator set was on Tuesday donated to Saint Anne’s Orphanage Effurun by Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU, Minnesota United States of America, USA, Branch.
DRTV Correspondent, Omonigho Edaah, reports that a former Commissioner for Education in Delta State, Dr Veronica Ogbuagu, who presented the generator set on behalf of the body, said that the gesture will help address the issue of epileptic power supply in the orphanage.
After inspecting the twenty KVA Mikano generator set, the former Commissioner for Education in Delta State, Dr Veronica Ogbuagu, said that the issue of regular electricity supply cannot be overemphasized, as it will help to provide reliable electricity to Saint Anne’s Orphanage, as well as support their great mission of caring for God’s children.
Dr Ogbuagu, who is a National Assembly aide to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege, said the body over the years has also rendered various assistance such as beds, food items and a thirteen seater school bus to the Orphanage.
She commended the management of the orphanage for taking proper care of the orphans and solicited the children’s prayers for the body.
The former Education Commissioner called on other Nigerians in diaspora to emulate the UPU Minnesota USA by giving to those in need in the society.
The sister in charge of the orphanage, Reverend Sister Immaculate Onyenakasa thanked the UPU Minnesota USA for providing the home with a generator set, noting that the additional generator set will go a long way in addressing power outage in the orphanage.
