Leadership of the commercial bus operators, it was gathered held a meeting with authorities of Warri South Local Government over the two tickets billing, which is among grievances of the transporters.
But the meeting appears not to have gone down well with the protesting bus drivers and they took to major roads to express their grievances.
The protesting commercial bus operators told DRTV News that they were being over taxed as they can not ever balance owners of the buses on hire purchase.
The commercial bus drivers wondered how tickets in Warri South Council Area would be costlier than other Local Governments where they also operate as transporters.
Responding to their complaints, the Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr Joseph Oribioye said the Local administration was on top of the situation assuring that all the issues raised would be resolved amicably.
The protests by the commercial transport operators forced commuters to trek long distances while the protest lasted.
Security personnel from the Three Battalion Army barracks, Effurun, personnel of the Federal Road Safety Commission were on ground to ensure law and order.
