Motorists in Effurun and its environs have called on the Ministry of Transport and the Delta State Traffic Management Agency, DESMA, to fix faulty the traffic lights in  Effurun Metropolis to ease vehicular movements in major intersections in the area. 
They stated that one of the traffic lights on the Refinery Junction has been out of service for a while leading to confusion at the strategic Junction linking motorists to other parts of the metropolis and beyond. 
The motorists also called on the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Mr. Ramson Onoyaike to urgently carry out maintenance on the ever busy Jakpa Junction that has continued to cause traffic gridlock. 
They stated the traffic lock jam occasioned by the deep pot holes in the Junction have assumed notorious dimension as motorists spend several hours on that spot before navigating their way out of the gridlock.
