Asian Tennis Star, Naomi Osaka has lifted her second US Open title in three years with a 1-6 6-3 6-3 victory as she battled from a set down to beat Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka.

With the hardcourt major being staged without any fans in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Osaka did not let the unusual circumstances distract her as she produced a battling performance.

The 22-year-old already the highest-earning female athlete in the world, adds another £2.3million in prize money to her fortune.

She becomes the first Asian player to win three major titles, surpassing Chinese trailblazer Li Na.
