Small scale businesses are gradually being grounded following prolonged power outages in both rural and urban communities in Delta State.

Emevor is an agrarian community as many of the residents are farmers.
Other residents of the community have however taken to doing petty trading and other small businesses.
Many of the businesses the people do in the town require electricity.
Over the years however the community and many other towns and villages in Isoko land have suffered prolonged power outages.
This is why artisans and seamstresses like these young women use coal iron to address the satisfaction of their customers this festive period.
They say many of the electricity consumers in Emevor community are used to power outages.
For Pastor Otobo Abisi and some other residents of the community, it has been tales of woe for electricity consumers in Emevor.
The five villages of Emevor are worst hit as the villagers live in total darkness as power supply is yet to get to them in this twenty first country.
