Seven cases of police brutality and extra judicial killings were on Thursday entertained by the judicial panel of inquiry set up by the state government

Seven cases of police brutality and extra judicial killings were on Thursday entertained by the judicial panel of inquiry set up by the state government sitting on the matter in Warri.

The Panel concluded one case, struck out another while five cases were adjourned to the 8th of December 2020 for further hearing. 

An accused police officer, Inspector Isaac Agbonlahor appeared before the panel to defend the alleged murder of one Collins Iki leveled against him. 

Counsel to the petitioner, Mr. S O Oboro cross examined the accused police officer for his alleged involvement in the shooting of the late Iki at Ozoro on August 3rd this year.  

The chairman of the panel, Retired Justice Celestina Ogisi after listening to both the petitioner and the accused later adjourned the case to December 1st 2020 in Asaba.
