The Senior Political Adviser to the State Governor, Honourable Solomon Funkekeme said there was the need for the people of Burutu Local government to support the Okowa led administration.
The Governor’s aide said that such support were required for government to complete all the projects in the locality.
Honourable Funkekeme said that the on-going Ayakoromo bridge which is a mega project in the Area would be completed to connect many Ijaw coastal communities in the hintherland.
The Senior Political Adviser also urged leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party in the Area to close ranks and work with unity of purpose to consolidate on the gains of the party.
The State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba also charged the PDP members to promote peace in the Area.
The chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, in Burutu Local Government Area, Mr Ebike Oromani harped on the need for leaders of the party to embrace peace and work to achieve the strong Delta vision of the State Governor.
Mr Oromoni admonished the party leader and members to desist from using the social media and other medium to attack the Okowa administration and appointees from the Area.
He also noted that disunity among the party members will thwart the development as well as smooth running of the Okowa led Government.
Other who attended include the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Honourable Julius Pondi, the Delta South chairman, Chief Julius Takeme, the chairman of Burutu Local Government, Mr Godknows Angele and Special Adviser to governor on Environment and Marine Transport, Honourable Daniel Yingi.
