Dignitaries present at the burial reception of the Governor’s uncle were the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon; the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu; the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Chief Patrick Ukah; the Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwuyenga and some other members of the state Executive Council.
Also present at the well attended ceremony to commiserate with the Governor over the demise of his octogenarian uncle were some Chairmen and members of some Boards and Commissions in the state including the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Sunny Ogwu as well as some Local Government Chairmen and Councillors and other political appointees in the state.
The remains of Pa Davidson Okowa who died at the age of 84 years was laid to rest at his residence at Iso Street, Idumu- Ebor quarters, Owa Alero on Friday, October 30, 2020.
Late Pa Davidson Okowa, who is survived by his children, grand children and many relations including Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was until his death a resourceful community leader who had contributed immensely to the growth and development of his community.
Popular Ika high life musicians Joe Morgan and ‘One Nigeria’ were on ground to entertain guests at the ceremony with their evergreen songs to the admiration of the people present at the ceremony.
Late Pa Davidson  Okowa who died on August 20 ,2020 was the younger brother of  Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa ,the father of the state Governor, senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
