Nigeria International, Mutiu Adepoju and the La Liga have celebrated Super Eagles Winger

Former Nigeria International, Mutiu Adepoju and the La Liga have celebrated Super Eagles Winger, Samuel Chukwueze after he made history on Tuesday by becoming the youngest-ever footballer in Villareal’s history to feature in 100 years.

Chukwueze made his 100th appearance for the Yellow Submarines in their 4 – 1 win against Zamora in Tuesday’s Copa del Rey encounter.

The Pacy Winger bagged an assist for Villareal in the game.

At 21 years, seven months and 11 days, the Nigeria international erased the old record set by Mateo Musacchio, who reached the centenary mark aged 21 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Adepoju, who represented Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup in 1994 and 1998, Congratulated Chukwueze on Twitter for achieving the milestone.

In a statement on their official Twitter handle, La Liga congratulated the record-making centenarian, Chukwueze, and wished him greater successes ahead.

Chukwueze has represented Villareal 79 times in the La Liga, 13 appearances in the Europa League and 8 caps in the Copa del Rey.
