A New Zealand Author’s book has been pulled from an Online after she criticized the Maori tattoo on the face of the Foreign Affairs Minister.
The Author, Olivia Pierson, in tweet, had described the facial tattoos as ugly and uncivilised.
Nanaia Mahuta, who is the First Female Member of Parliament in a recent cabinet reshuffle, is also the first New Zealand to have a Maori Facial Tattoo.
Some New Zealander with Maori heritage wears tattoos, known as Moko to mark their genealogy and heritage.
Men’s Moko tend to cover their entire face, while women’s Moko cover their chin.
