Leaders of the four cluster communities hosting Oil Mining Lease, OML26 in Isoko North, Isoko South and Ughelli North Local Government Areas of Delta State, have commended the management of Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, and its Joint Venture partner, First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, FHN, for donating food items, school bags and cash to children, women and vulnerable persons in their communities

Leaders of the four cluster communities hosting Oil Mining Lease, OML26 in Isoko North, Isoko South and Ughelli North Local Government Areas of Delta State, have commended the management of Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, and its Joint Venture partner, First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, FHN, for donating food items, school bags and cash to children, women and vulnerable persons in their communities.

The leaders of the communities gave the commendation at a 4-day event hosted simultaneously at Ada-Irri, Ewem, Owhelogbo Ozoro, and other communities in the cluster.

Presenting the items, representative of Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, and its Joint Venture partner, First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, FHN, Miss Nnena Eze, while declaring the 4-day event open at Ada-Irri, said that the company was committed to improving the well-being of children and women, especially the less privileged in the host communities.

Mr Eze noted that the gesture was a pilot programme put together to give the less privileged children and women a sense of belonging. 

The Chairman of Community Development Board of OML26, Prince Johnson Akpomailue described the initiative as a welcome development, noting that the plight of the needy could only be assuaged by the positive initiative.

In the same vein, the President of Emevor community who doubles as Chairman of cluster 2 communities of OML26, Sir Moses Agboro, commended the company, for the novel initiative, saying that such good will would inspire robust relationship between the company and the host communities

The children and the women thanked the company for extending hand of love and care to them, as they jubilantly walked home with their gifts and food items.
