Power has been restored to large part of India financial capital Mumbai after a rave outage.
The power outaged distrusted the city suburban train network came to a half and homes lost electricity supply around official said 10.00 local time on Monday.
Unprecedented failure was due to issues the incoming supply to the main gride.
The chief minister of MAHARASHTRA State, where Mumbai is located has ordered an inquiry into the cause of the power failure.
Supply has since been restored to all essential service in large parts of city the state energy minister NITIN RAUT said in a Tweet.
Resident took to social media as the outage was unsure.
While the grid failure interrupted train, the airport and stock exchange continual functioning.
Official have asked hospitals to ensure they have enough fuel to power back-up generators for at least eight hours in cases of further disruptions.
