As Nigeria clocks 60 years of Nationhood, political leaders and Nigerians have been admonished to reflect on the vision of the founding fathers, sacrifices of the heroes past and evaluate contributions to nation building.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa gave this admonition on Thursday at an interdenominational thanksgiving service held at Government House Chapel, Asaba, to mark the Independence Day celebration.
Government House Correspondent Marian Nweke reports that the Governor reminded Nigerians of the need to use the Independence Day celebration to reflect and come out with workable plans on how to retool the nation such that the interest of the nation would take centre stage above other considerations.
