In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga said the ministry will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders at ensuring that Delta Youths are meaningfully engaged as skilled workers and employers of labour.

Comrade Egwunyenga explained that the process of selecting the 810 trainees for the RYSA program was transparent and competitive, hence the bests three persons were selected from across 270 electoral wards of the State.

The Youth Development Commissioner also challenged the trainees to show absolute commitment and pay careful attention to every detail so as to get the best out of the training program.

Comrade Egwunyenga expressed appreciation to Governor Okowa for demonstrating unequalled commitment to the development of Delta Youths in sustaining existing youth investment programs as well as expanding such opportunities through new programs such as the Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Programme, the Girl Child Empowerment Program and the ICT training program in the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Commissioner appealed to the governor to continue to lend support to the youths and position them for greater achievements
