GOVERNOR OKOWA APPROVED FULL RESUMPTION OF DUTIES FOR ALL CATEGORIES OF PUBLIC SERVANTS
Following the observed decline in the rate of COVID-19 infections in the Delta State as well as the gradual relaxation of the lock down restrictions, The State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has approved the full resumption of duties for all categories of public servants with effect from Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
A Statement by Director of Information, Mr Dona Obuseh explained that officers from Grade levels 01 – 17 are to be in the office by 8.00 am and close by 4.00 pm daily.
It added that in furtherance of government’s commitment towards the safety of life and wellbeing of public servants, the continuous adherence to all COVID-19 preventive protocols including temperature checks, maintenance of physical distancing, regular washing and/or sanitizing of hands and compulsory wearing of face masks must be observed.
The Statement added that to avoid overcrowding of offices, staff should be rotated on the basis of one-third of total staff strength such that occupation of available office space should not exceed 75% at any given time, while ensuring that each officer came to work regularly.
