GOVERNOR OKOWA APPOINTS MORRIS OCHUKO AS DIRECTOR GENERAL, DELTA STATE LOCAL CONTENT AGENCY
The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has asked the State House Assembly to confirm the appointment of Morris Ochuko Idiovwa as the Director General, Delta State Local Content Agençy.
The request for the nomination was read at plenary by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
Dr Okowa in the letter said the nomination was in line with section 10, sub section 1 of the Delta State Local Content Agency Law as well as to ensure smooth take off of the agency for effective service delivery.
In a related development, the House also received a letter from Governor Ifeanyi Okowa containing the nomination of Chief Nkem Okwuofu and four others as Chairman and members of the Civil Service Commission.
They include Roseline Amioku, Olumami Oyibo, Lawrence Pemu and Michael Oputa.
The Governor is seeking the consideration of the House for the confirmation of the appointments, disclosing that the tenure of the board had expired on 30th of September 2020.
The Speaker directed all the nominees to forward their credentials to reach the Clerk of the House on or before Monday, 16th November and appear for screening on Tuesday, 17th November 2021.
