The Federal Government has inaugurated a commission of inquiry to investigate the death of Richard Gbadebo, a 300-level student of the University of Ibadan, at a company in Ibadan.
Richard Gbadebo died in the course of duty at a factory in Ibadan on July 28.
A lawyer Femi Aborisade representing the family of late Richard Gbadebo, the Alliance on surviving COVID-19 and Beyond in Oyo State, and the international lawers Assisting workers Network, had written the minister of labour and employment, Dr Chris Ngige, calling for the inauguration of a commission of inquiry into circumstances surrounding the death of Richard Gbadebo in the course of carrying out his duty at the company.
Mrs Nneka Adogu Director, Occupational safety and Health on behalf of the ministry approved a panel of inquiring to investigate the fatality at the factory.
Mr Femi Aborisade praised the Federal Government setting up of the commission of inquiry to investigate the unfortunate incident.
