EX-FIRS CHAIRMAN RETURNS TO THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION FOR FURTHER QUESTIONING
The immediate past chairman of the Federal Revenue Service, FIRS Mr Babatunde Fowler Monday returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for further questioning.
Fowler, it was gathered reported at the Lagos Office of the EFCC over FIRS’s involvement in alleged financial misappropriation during his tenure.
The sum of nine point two billion naira from the Lagos Inland Revenue Service and Alpha Beta was allegedly traced to Fowler’s personal account.
The EFCC has few weeks ago invited the former chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service for questioning over a five billion naira fraud allegedly perpetrated in the agency under his leadership.
