These refuse are fallout of the endsars protests which rocked the country for about almost two weeks.
The Effurun roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area was the focal point of the protests where the peaceful demonstrators gathered daily during the two weeks old protest.
Four days after, authorities of Uvwie Local Government and the State Task Force on Environment moved in to clear the roundabout of refuse.
Personnel of the Environment department of Uvwie and the Special Taskforce on Environment opened up drainage and also evacuated refuse from the entire roundabout.
Honourable Ramson Onoyake who is the chairman of the council , the senior special assistant to Governor Okowa on Environment, Chief Peter Abugewa and the State Delta Central Coordinator on Environment, Mr Kingsley Iweka all monitored the exercise.
They were also at the Effurun flyover where similar evacuation of refuse was carried out.
Honourable Ramson Onoyake announced plans to set up a committee to ensure the regular clean up of the ever busy roundabout.
The Uvwie Council chairman commended the State chairman of the State Waste Management Board, Evangelist Slyvester Oromoni, the State Task Force on Environment for their efforts aimed at keeping the entire local government clean always.
He noted that such synergy was necessary to ensure a clean environment.
