EFCC New Chairman warned staff of the commission against indulging in corrupt practices
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has warned staff of the commission against indulging in corrupt practices, with a promise that his administration is poised to take the commission to the next level with focus on doing its best to nip corruption in the bud.
The EFCC boss stated this during the handing over ceremony of the leadership of the EFCC Lagos Zonal Office to Taofiq Sabir, with a charged that the new zonal head keep the flag flying.
In a statement by the Head of Media and Publicity, EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, Bawa who acknowledged that there will be challenges amidst high expectations, expressed great optimism noting that his administration is on ground to effect norms that defines self discipline and high morals as number priorities.
He noted that under his leadership, the EFCC will ensure a proactive approach to the fight against corruption as there will be measures on ground that will help nip it in the bud, Before the crime is committed. The EFCC boss urged members of staff to practice what they preach as they can not be fighting corruption, and doing something different at the same time.
