The Kwara State Governor has approved a new minimum wage for Kwara state workers.
Governor Abdurazak Abdulrahaman, who made this known on his official Twitter page, also lifted the embargo on annual salary increment, promotions and conversions.
The Governor said this followed the review of the recommendations of the Government and labour committee that was set up to work out the modalities for resolving the workers welfare-related issues.
He commended the labour leaders and state’s workforce over their effort to deliver better services to the people and for their selflessness, understanding, perseverance and lore for the state.
The Governor appeal to the workers to reciprocate government’s gesture by ensuring increased productivity and efficient service delivery.
