Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe described late Pa Okowa, as a peace loving Christian and a forthright elder statesman

Members of the Association of Political Appointees and Elected Representatives in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, have conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, over the demise of his father, Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa.

The group in a condolence message signed by the Chairman and Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, and PRO,  the Executive Assistant to the governor on Communications, Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe described  late Pa Okowa, as a peace loving Christian and a forthright elder statesman, who served the State and country meritoriously as a professional teacher, educational administrator and community leader.

The Group mourned the passage of the patriarch of the Okowa Dynasty, Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, saying he lived a fulfilled life as a devoted Christian and a Knight who during his life time served God faithfully, and practiced what he preached.

It added that as a teacher for several decades Pa Okowa  impacted knowledge that benefited thousands of students, raised quality children who today, are great achievers, leaders, movers and shakers in business and politics; including the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, and the Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tony Okowa, amongst others. The group prayed that God gives Gov. Okowa, and the entire Okowa family of Owa-Alero in Ika North East, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
