DELTA CIVIL SERVANTS GET PROMOTION EXAM DATE.

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

2020 COMPULSORY PROMOTION EXAMINATION FOR OFFICERS ON SGLs 05 – 10 IN THE DELTA STATE CIVIL SERVICE WHO MATURED FOR PROMOTION EITHER ON 1ST JANUARY OR 1ST JULY  2020

          It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly Officers in the Delta State Civil Service, that the Delta State Civil Service Commission will conduct the 2020 Compulsory Promotion Examination for Officers who are due for promotion either in 1st January or July from SGLs 05 – 10, on Saturday August 22 2020.The schedule for the examination is as follows:

Salary Grade Level 10

Date:               Saturday August 22 2020.

Time:               9.00am – 11.00 am

Venue:             West End Mixed Secondary School, Asaba

Salary Grade Level 09

Date:               Saturday August 22 2020.

Time:               12.00 noon – 2.00 pm

Venue:             West End Mixed Secondary School, Asaba

Salary Grade Level 07 – 08

Date:               Saturday August 22 2020.

Time:               9.00am – 11.00 am

Venue:             St. Patricks’ College, Asaba

Salary Grade Level 05 – 06

Date:               Saturday August 22 2020.

Time:               12.00 noon – 2.00 pm

Venue:             St. Patricks’ College, Asaba

            Consequently, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there shall be no refresher course but all affected officers are advised to collect their materials for the examination from the Civil Service Commission office as from Tuesday August 18, 2020.Officers are advised to come to the venue of the examination along with their letters of 1st appointment, last promotion and staff ID Card. It is also stressed that only officers who satisfy the afore-mentioned requirements and whose names and particulars have been duly forwarded to the Commission by their various MDAs will be accredited and allowed to participate in the examination.
         In line with NCDC and the Delta State Government guideline on COVID-19 pandemic, all officers are to wear their face mask as any officer without this protective equipment will not be allowed to write the examination. For the avoidance of doubt, it is emphasized that success in the examination is a pre-requisite for the promotion of the affected officers.
