Meantime, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has nominated Mr Bruno Ebitonmo for appointment as Auditor-General, Local Government, in accordance with the powers conferred on him by section 15, subsection 4 of the Delta State Audit Law 2018.     The name of the nominee was contained in his letter to the House, read at plenary by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, seeking for screening and possible confirmation of the appointment.

Dr Okowa explained that the appointment was informed by the retirement of the erstwhile Auditor-General, having attained the mandatory retirement age of sixty years.      He said it has therefore become imperative to fill the vacancy created by the exit.

Consequently, the Speaker directed the nominee to submit 35 copies of his curriculum vitae and credentials to the office of the Clerk of the House on or before Monday and appear for screening on Tuesday next week.

The House also at plenary received two other letters from Governor Ifeanyi Okowa nominating Mr Okoh Nosa Idenedo, for appointment as General Manager, Delta State Urban Water Corporation, and confirmation of the appointment of Mr Unuafe Oghale as General Manager, Delta State Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Agency.
