Normalcy has gradually returned to Uvwie and other parts of the State after almost two weeks peaceful protests by Nigerian youths against the activities of the Nigerian Police Force and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
The curfew imposed by the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa across the State halted the wanton destruction of public property and looting.
The curfew which is still in force runs from 6pm to 8am daily.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who reviewed the curfew Saturday commended Deltans for obeying the restriction of movement across the State.
The Delta State Governor said government will continue to monitor the security situation and promised to review the curfew as the situation improves.
