For the first time in several months after the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country, no State in the nation reported any death from COVID-19 related complications on Wednesday.
The current death arising from the contagion is 956.
This is confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, in its release on the number of infections in the country.
A breakdown of the release shows that Nigeria recorded 453 new COVID-19 infections from 16 states to bring the total number of cases in the country to 47,743 while the active cases stand at 12,844.
The Agency says 334 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours.
Lagos State recorded the highest number of 113, Ekiti reported the lowest case of one.
Delta State recorded 8 new cases on Wednesday.
