The Presiding Judge, Justice Efe Ikponwonba, ruled that the motion for bail application lacked merit.
Justice Ikponwonba, after listening to the appearances by the prosecuting and defence counsels, struck out the application.
The Judge noted that the bail application for Chief Johnson Atseleghe, the Iyasere of Warri Kingdom, amounts to abuse of court processes.
She informed the court that the so many steps taken to secure the bail application lacked merit both in evidence and documentation.
Justice Ikponwonba asked Lawyers of both parties to wait for the original date for the ruling of the bail application on September 14, 2020.
Counsels to both parties react to the verdict.
The Okhaighele of Kolokolo Community, Sunny Etchie, was allegedly kidnaped and murdered by eleven suspects believed to have been sent by Johnson Atseleghe.
All the suspects, who have been in Police custody pleaded not guilty to the three court charges against them.
