Christians have urged to use the Christmas period to reflect on the things that will promote the unity of Nigeria.


In a statement, the Federal Commissioner representing South-South on the board of the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON), Sadiq Oniyesaneyene Musa, noted that the period should be used to build more on mutual relationships across religion, tribe and ethnicity.
Musa called on Christians in the country to use the lessons learnt during this period to resist evil in the society and stand against the enemies of the nation who use religion and politics to create division.
He further called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and law-abiding citizens throughout this period, while they celebrate and pray to God to restore peace and tranquillity in Nigeria.
Christian families, friends, Deltans, South-South and Nigeria at large he emphasized should take necessary precautions to enable them joy their time and pleasant memories of the season for love as they celebrate.
