Christians have been urged to play active politics so as to give birth to the country of their dream.

Correspondent, Ogheneruona Oyibo, reports that the president of Christian political forum stated this Tuesday during a meeting of the body held at the headquarters of God’s will Mission, along Usiefurun Road in Ughelli South local Government Area of Delta state.

The Christian political Forum is a political pressure group of Religious leaders with member drawn from the twenty five local Government Areas of the state.

The main aim of the group is to galvanize support for Christian, who are willing to occupy public position across the state.

Speaking shortly after the meeting of the body its president, Arch Bishop Solomon Gbakara, stated that based on the numerical strength of the church they are fully prepared to rally round any Christian, who may want to secure elective position, in order to give birth to God fearing leaders across the country.

Arch Bishop Gbakara, who maintained that the time for Christian to be in fore front of active politics is now, hinted that the only way to effect the desired change Nigerians have been yearning for, is for Christians leaders to occupy key positions or authorities.

While calling for unity of purpose amongst Christian bodies and leaders across the state, the National President of the Christian political forum state that meaningful can only be spread to all parts of the country when God fearing people are in power.

He called on Christians not to take back seat in politics, but ensure that they are registers with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, noting that gone are those days politics was seen as a dirty game.

The vice president of the body Bishop Duke Akpososo, stated that the time for the church to take over the leadership of the country and heal the land is now, urging Christians to only vote for credible leaders in 2023.

He sued from selfless service amongst the ward co-ordinators, urging them to be close rank and fully committed to the advancement of the body at all times. Ward co-ordinators of body will be inaugurated before the end of the year.
