BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING FOR BATCH FOUR OF STEP GRADUATES OF 2019/2020 PROGRAMME ENDS IN ASABA
The Business Management and Entrepreneurship Training for Batch Four of the STEP Graduate of the 2019/2020 Programme Cycle of the Delta State Job Creation Bureau has ended in Asaba, the State Capital.
Correspondent, Marian Nweke, reports that the One hundred and Eighty three trainees who have completed their skills training in Fashion and Textile Design; Tiling and Interlocking; Welding and Fabrication, Electrical and Solar Works, were lectured on the principles and Practices for starting Business, How to Write Business Plan, as well as Mentorship for Business Start-Ups.
Addressing the beneficiaries, who constitute the 4th Batch of the Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme, (STEP), in the 2019/2020 Cycle, the Chief job Creation Officer, Professor Eric Eboh, congratulated them for the successful completion of their training, in spite of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, represented by the Coordinator STEP in the Job Creation Bureau, Mr Onyeisi Nkenchor, advised them not to take the training it seriously imbibie all that they have learnt and apply them in managing their businesses.
The Resource persons, Mr Edward Mekwuye of the State Directorate of Youth Monitoring and Mentoring and Pastor Afolabi Adun groomed participants on what to expect and practice as they grow their businesses.
Some participants appreciated the Delta State Government for the opportunity given to them and promised to utilize it to better their lives.
Four Hundred and Seventy four STEP beneficiaries have so far participated in the Empowerment Business Management Training, in the 2019/2020 Cycle .
