Governor Okowa called on the Avwomakpa family especially the children to take solace in the fact that their late mother and sister Pastor Victoria Avwomakpa lived her life for the Lord.
Represented by his Deputy Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, Governor Okowa commended the Christian Community in the State for their relentless prayers assuring God will reward them.
Some members of the National Assembly including the Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege and the member representing Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Francis waive described late Victoria Avwomakpa as a devoted Christian woman who supported her husband’s Ministry.
In his sermon the guest preacher Apostle Zilly Aggrey admonished all to live their lives according to God’s purpose.
According to him Late Pastor Victoria Avwomakpa’s relationship with God was responsible for the large turn-out of persons who came to bid her farewell.
Shortly after the sermon, founder of Word of Life Bible Church, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor prayed for the Avwomakpa family.
The Founder of the Flock of Christ Mission and South-South President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Bishop Simeo Okah also charged the children of late Pastor Victoria Avomakpa to continue to draw strength from the word of God.
The Body of Late Pastor Victoria Avwomakpa was thereafter interred.
At the reception, husband of the deceased and Founder of Christ Missionary Crusaders Ministry ArchBishop GodDoWell Avwomakpa and some of his children said they will greatly miss their mother but expressed optimism she has left to be with the Lord.
A service of song was earlier on Friday held in honour of Late Pastor Victoria Avwomakpa and a large number of guests turnout for the event.
Late Pastor Victoria Avwomakpa was aged 68.
