President Muhammadu Buhari has harped on the need for traditional rulers to help to help in addressing the demands of youths in the country.
President Buhari made the call in Abuja on Thursday at a meeting in the State House while speaking to a delegation of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria led by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III.
The President stressed that the proximity of traditional rulers to the people placed them in a unique position to communicate and ensure that govt response is impactful.
While assuring that his Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, would lead senior government officials to various parts of the country to directly engage with them, President Buhari urged them not to compromise their neutrality in order to maintain their moral authority and legitimacy.
