As the call for the sack of Service Chiefs mounts amidst increasing security concerns, the Conference of Concerned Elders has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve them of their duties without further delay.

The Elders’ Coalition want the Nigerian President to replace the Service Chiefs with young budding solders who are ready to go in the line of duties.

The Concerned Elders Conference said the call became necessary to contain the insecurity in many parts of the country.

They noted that it was wrong for the President to treat the Security Chiefs with kid gloves even as their inability to contain insecurity in the country grows daily.

The Nigerian Elders explained that the failure of the Security Chiefs to tackle banditry and other criminal activities in Nigeria has portrayed the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, led Federal Government in a bad light.

They urged President Buhari to hearken to the voice of majority of Nigerians who want the nation’s Security Chiefs sacked and fresh blood brought into the security architecture.

In one of the latest incidents armed unknown bandits attacked Onueke Police Station in Ebonyi State killing three Police Officers while others sustained injuries.
