As early as 6am on Tuesday one Mrs Nneka Ifeanyi a mother of three found a day old baby at the back of small market along jakpa road
Narrating her story Mrs Nneka said that she noticed a crowd of people at the market adding that when she got there she saw a day old baby in a bucket with the placenta still attached to the baby
She further stressed that as a mother she was moved by compassion and she rushed the baby to ekpan general hospital for proper medical care.
The chief social welfare officer of Ekpan general hospital Mrs Akpomiemie Blessing said on resumption she saw the new born baby who has already been taken care of by the nurses on duty.
She however disclosed that she has already notified the Nigeria Police and the Social Welfare on the development
Mrs Akpomiemie however implored those not yet ready for making babies to stop indulging in sexual activities
Mr Jude Johnson who witnessed the development said that himself and other members of the progressive parliament informed DRTV News of the development.
As at the time of filing in this report the baby has been taken to the Ekpan police station for necessary action.
