46-YEARS OLD SPORTS INSTRUCTOR COMPLAINED OF SUFFERING FROM EFFECT OF LONG COVID
A 46-year old Sports Instructor, Sarah Wakefield, has complained of sufferings from the effect of Long Covid, since becoming unwell in March in Wales, United Kingdom.
Sarah Wakefield, said she feels like she is 96, as she struggles to speak, climb stairs and do everyday tasks.
Mrs Wakefield, who works as a mountain bike coach is required to ride six or seven hours up the mountain but says she now struggles to carry laundry upstairs, make tea or help her three children with homework because of her symptoms.
Long Covid is a term used to describe a range of symptoms identified in people months after they have had coronavirus.
A campaign group, Long Covid Wales, wants the government to set up specialist clinics across Wales similar to those planned for England.
Meanwhile, a health board has said it would set up a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation service for people with Long Covid who did not initially need hospitalization.
